Job Description : This is a remote position.Our in-house Development team is expanding and we’re on the lookout for a Software Developer to join us. You’ll be tasked with revamping our systems and familiarising yourself with the company’s digital ecosystem and tech stack.So who are we? We are Elmtronics, specialising in public charging stations as as electric car charging points at home and for business, our software can also be provided as a back-office solution.We’re a relaxed culture so are happy to offer flexible working patterns including remote working, the only thing we do ask is that applicants be based within the North-East of England.RequirementsReporting to our Lead Developer your role and tasks will include but are not limited to:-The creation, improvement, and/or maintenance of our business layer tools, development of new functionalities for these-Building user friendly interfaces utilising your knowledge of front-end development, focusing on accessibility, accountability and best practices-Familiarising with the company’s digital ecosystem and tech stack, learning about new technology, actively participating in implementing changes within and between the different applications, keeping a global vision aligned with the company’s digital strategy when approaching a solution-Participating in meetings with departments, key users, and stakeholders; understanding the business scenarios and identifying opportunities to improve and automate processes, providing valuable insight as an expert in digital practices-Seeing your own projects through from start to finish as well as working within the development team, participating in SCRUM meetings, reporting your advancements, and helping plan sprints-Documenting changes implemented by yourself, participating in pair programming, sharing knowledge with peers as well as learning with the teamSkills and Experience:-Software development experience with JavaScript, React or Node.JS (essential), TypeScript (optional)-Front end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX-Experience working with API integrations, webhooks, safety practices, extending functionality within native frameworks-Understanding of business tools, CRM software basics, process management, workflows, data lifecycle-Understanding of SEO, best practices, PII data and GDPR compliance-Understanding of web and cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting, debugging, finding root causes, identifying workarounds-Experience working in development teams with SCRUM, writing User Stories, and working with GIT throughout the development processWhat are we looking for?-You’ll be eager to grow and ready to be supported in pursuing the professional skills you’ve always wanted to learn.
