Job Description : We are currently recruiting for a Developer to join our IT Department based in our Head Office, just outside Abergavenny. This role will be permanent and full time. Your normal hours of work will be Monday to Friday.We’re looking for a Backend Developer to be responsible for creating and maintaining the bespoke backend systems and databases in use by the NM Money Group of companies. Your responsibilities will include the architecture, design, programming and testing of backend services and SQL development.This is a flexible hybrid roll based out of the company HQ in Crickhowell. You will work with the development team in the office and there is ample opportunity for remote working.Your key duties will include: Work with key stakeholders to generate requirement lists for new and existing projectsDevelop and maintain high quality services to set requirements following established software development practicesMaintain software documentationCreate clean, secure and maintainable code and work with the development team on reviewing code written by other members of the teamTroubleshoot problems by validating, testing, rectifying and documenting issuesThe Right Candidate: Our current tech stack includes PHP, Go and TSQL, however experience in other languages and a willingness to learn are acceptable for this role.Professional Experience with:MS SQL ServerGo, PHP, or an equivalent backend languageVersion control systems (Git)Experience with the following is desirable:Analysis ServicesUnit / Integration TestingAdministering Linux based systems (Ubuntu)Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment systems (Jenkins)Familiarity with Frontend Web Frameworks (Vue.js)What We Offer in Return: At NoteMachine we pride ourselves on the benefits that we can offer our staff.
