Edge Experience Engineering team owns, develops and manages the solutions used by our engineers globally. These solutions help to run one of the largest distributed systems in the world. We work closely with stakeholders to create innovative, powerful, scalable, highly reliable and secure systems at scale.
Work with cutting edge technology
You will gather requirements, design, implement, maintain tools and infrastructure used by development and test teams. Work with industry standard tools to help Akamai reduce risk and improve security of our software. You will evolve, develop, enhance tools and automation processes used by our global development and test teams.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will develop software solutions that will help to detect / track vulnerabilities across the systems in Akamai. You’ll be collaborating with your users, our internal engineers, to design, shape and create innovative solutions, with the aim of providing a seamless risk mitigation development experience at Akamai.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test you will be responsible for:
Formulating own test automation strategies by working with development team, architects , product managers.
Contributing to functional and performance testing of features with highly effective test coverage & automation.
Using software development skills to develop tools, test frameworks and CI/CT
Having ability to Investigate and analyze the root cause of technical issues and document software defects.
Collaborating with various team members on testing activities. Reviewing product requirements/scope and low level designs to verify accuracy of test plans and test cases.
Improving testing methodologies and procedures to enhance test automation efficiency.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
Have demonstrated experience in developing test automation in Python
Have proficiency with Unix/Linux
Have experience developing and improving tests for automation frameworks
Demonstrate experience in automated testing of Rest API and Backend Distributed systems
Enjoy working as a team, collaborating and solving problems with others
