Job Description : For this role, we are ideally looking for candidates with at least one year of professional experience involving software development, but we will also consider graduates and self-taught candidates. Our team works in .NET / C# but we will consider candidates with good knowledge of C++, C or Java and a willingness to develop their .NET / C# skills. This team focuses on the provisioning of customers, where a big part of the task is to create automated solutions for configuring various network equipment on our network, so an interest or study in networking would be beneficial (eg CCNA, JNCA).About our StackOur main job is to develop custom automation code, system extensions and REST APIs for our OSS/BSS system, in C# and PHP. Our stack currently includes .NET Framework, PHP, MySQL and PostgreSQL with a range of popular support tools and frameworks. A large part of the code we develop is for interfacing and communicating with hardware. It can be a piece of network equipment or an internal or external system or server. We are open minded about what we use and always strive to improve and use the right tools for the job.Don’t worry if you don’t know all those technologies, we are looking for good engineers who can learn new skills rather than people who are familiar with our exact stack.Being Agile is key to what we do: the business is evolving quickly, and we are working closely with other teams to assist them in various projects. This gives us plenty of room for taking initiatives and making a difference. We are organised in Scrum teams with a mix of developers and QAs, and work in close collaboration with the Product Owners to ensure that the tools that we develop deliver the most value to the business. We are committed to delivering software of high quality, which we believe starts with delivering high-quality code and architecture, systematic code reviews, testing, and deployment automation. We believe in creating a friendly, diverse, supportive, and inclusive environment, with a strong focus on personal development through code reviews, developers’ meetings, mentoring and training.Knowledge & Skills· Requiredo Experience of backend software development, preferably .NET with C#o SQL experience· Nice to haveo Professional experience with network technology and engineeringo Experience with automation of network equipment configurationo Experience with Agile (ideally Scrum)o Professional experience with server-side software, web services, distributed systems, REST APIso Experience with Linux development/operationso Experience with OSS and/or BSS software (development and/or administration)Staff rewards, benefits and opportunitiesWe foster a collaborative, engaging culture that empowers staff to grow and maximise their skills.
