Job Description : LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group is looking for a Java Software Engineer to perform moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.
QUALIFICATIONS :
3+ years of Software Engineering experience
BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring boot and SQL.
Proficiency with front end development – Angular/ React.
Experience with cloud technologies AWS/Azure is a plus.
Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Familiarity of industry best practices — code coverage.
Familiarity with tool suite like Atlassian for code and documentation management is preferred.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases is preferred. Marklogic/Elasticsearch and ELK is a huge plus.
Responsibilities :
Interface with the product team and team members to finalize requirements.
Implement requirements while following SDLC best practices and assist others through code and design reviews.
Operate in an Agile development environment while collaborating with key stakeholders.
Resolve technical issues as necessary, including security vulnerabilities.
Keep abreast of new technology developments.
Other duties as assigned.
