Your role
Do you want to play part in developing a state-of-the-art Integrated Data Strategy using Microservices & Cloud Microsoft Azure technologies? Do you have the ability to resolve complex logical issues and think outside of the traditional development box? Do you want to work with a start-up mentality?
We are looking for an engineer who can:
design and code complex business requirementswork with different teams to develop a robust , reusable solutiondesign and code microservices to meet business platform requirementsgood knowledge about data pipelines and Bigdata technologies ( like Apache Spark, Hadoop , Databricks)organize and host training sessions, prepare training materials and post-implementation support for run-the-bank users
identify, raise and progress RAID items (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)prepare and execute unit, functional & automation test cases, raise and track defects as well as support end-user.
Your team
You’ll be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that provides exposure to all areas of Finance & Risk Analytics, Specifically you’ll be working in the team responsible for building an Enterprise Data Platform for the bank
Your expertise
Strong programming experience in Java or Scala (added advantage) and Apache Spark
Expert in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, TDD (JUnit, Mockito)
Experience in building REST API, knowledge of the Microservices Architecture and design patterns
In-depth knowledge of relational SQL databases, including database design
Experience / Working knowledge on using Azure Kubernetes (Docker containers)
Working knowledge of Azure would be an added advantage.
Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, software design principles and core programming concepts.
Comfortable multi-tasking and working as part of agile team
Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical and business audiences and working globally
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Keen to learn and share new concepts
