Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

As a Solution Designer your role will be to work with Solution Architects, Business Analysts and Engineering Team to develop low level designs and solutions that are practical, fit for purpose and scalable. Support the development teams to build the solution and testing teams to test the solutions.
What will you be doing?
Strong experience in Object Oriented concepts
Experience in Test Driven Development
Having passion for technology
Have experience in applying SOLID principles
Should be good at identifying apt data structure to be used for given requirement.
Should be good at writing best code considering the time & space complexity.
Should be open to technology.
Exposure to responsive design and open source libraries, like bootstrap
Understanding of Java Script, JQuery, AJAX, AngularJS 2.0
Experience in HTML,HTML5, CSS, NodeJS
Java Script Unit cases
Exposure to front-end tools like, NPM etc.
Should be able to troubleshoot performance issues and incorporate best practices for optimizing application performance.
Should be able to produce right design & architecture for any given requirement and should be effectively communicate to different stakeholders.

Control:
Understand the appropriate Policies and Standards applicable to the role through reading the Code of Conduct and other allocated training material.
Identify all key risks; track, log and manage each item in line with Barclaycards Enterprise Risk Management Framework (EMRF) guidelines
Identify key controls and assign an owner, with an audit trail of any decisions made

What we’re looking for:
Strong OO background with hands on experience with multiple programming language. (AngularJS, Java) Minimum 10+ Experience.
Strong Test Driven Development, CI & CD, Pair programming
Design Patterns and Enterprise integration patterns.
Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies.
Have ability to drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
Have delivered successful enterprise-class products to market.
Experience with automation at all levels of software development.
Configuration Management and Software Deployment Automation
Skills to work effectively in distributed team environment.
Engineer Graduate with Strong hands on experience in development and playing role of SM
Excellent soft skills with focus on Servant Leadership, Presentation, Interpersonal and Communication Skills

Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience with Event Driven Architectures
Experience with Reactive frameworks like Spring Webflux, Vert.x
CQRS and Event Sourcing experience (Read and watched suggested material – minimum)
Experience with Infrastructure as code DNS, Load Balancer, Certificates, Firewalls
Openstack / AWS
Experience with Cloud rollouts
