Job Description
Our team works together to build a wide variety of web experience that power, extend and showcase Visa’s internal Cloud Platform as a Service which includes Build as a Service, Deploy as a Service covering both VMs and Kubernetes, Function As a Service, Workflow, Messaging etc. As a part of this team, you’ll create the Apps Framework, work on K8 container management, make performance improvements, introduce more features with extensive test coverage and modern technologies. You’ll also work in a rapidly iterative environment where we prototype new user interfaces and ship new code frequently. Ultimately, you’ll have the opportunity to own projects by driving architectural, product and technological decisions. As a part of the team you will be interacting with Visa internal Customers and ensuring their success by promptly taking care of any blockers that they might have.
Job responsibilities
Work independently, driving projects end to end and provide guidance to junior developers
Develop scalable, distributed, multi-threaded applications using Java/Spring
Extend Capabilities of Kubernetes and Docker in GoLang
Create immersive UI in Angular 8
Be aware of the Dev Ops echo System and CNCF Echo System
Build tools to automate our deployment pipelines
Build tools to report on status of operations and performance
Build automated tests and enable continuous delivery of the platform components
Collaborate with team members in design reviews, development and code reviews
Identify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices and development methodologies.
Create documentation and procedures for development, deployment and maintenance
Be the Technical Lead for the Team
Own Customer satisfaction and support
Ensure Quality and Timely deliveries
Deliver the most critical pieces
Take part in Technical discussions and represent team

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
o12 to 18 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD degree

Preferred Qualifications
o12-16 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or
oExperience of building REST based web services & web applications using Java and Spring framework, GoLang, Angular JS 8
oIn depth Knowledge of Kubernetes and the Echo System.
oPreferable Production K8 Cluster implementation or maintenance experience
oWorking knowledge on Docker Container, Docker Cluster Management, Implementation
oPreferable experience in Private/Hybrid Cloud Offerings
oProven record of System Design as an Architect and presentation
oPreferably maintaining active blogs or speaking experience, must have excellent presentation skills
oMust be hands on full stack, spending at least 60% of the day coding
oExperience in review code and production issue analysis
oExperience writing unit and integration test cases
oSolid understanding of Object-Oriented design and programming concepts
oExperience of building software/frameworks for infrastructure automation/PaaS/Continuous Delivery
oExtensive hands-on experience with Linux and Windows
oProcess oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
oWork independently with minimal supervision
oWork independently, driving projects end to end and provide guidance to Junior developers
oIdentify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices
oCollaborate and talk through your architecture and delivery decisions
oTackle the tough design and product problems
oStrong interpersonal and communication skills
