Please note that this post is open only to students completing final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree (or equivalent) and level 4 or 5 students with proven related experience, at the University of Worcester or partner institutions, studying a sports related course.
The School of Sport and Exercise Science (SSES) is funding Student Learning and Teaching Assistant (SLTA) posts. These SLTAs will provide undergraduates with ‘hands on’ experience of working in collaboration with an academic or academics on learning and teaching related projects/initiatives, enabling them to gain valuable experience which will enhance their CV. These are prestigious positions, marking out a student as a future researcher or potential academic. In addition, this scheme provides staff with invaluable support in taking their learning and teaching ideas forward and experience of supporting a student to develop their skills and understanding in terms of pedagogy.
The post-holders will support a member or members of SSES staff with different aspects of learning and teaching projects including evaluation of initiatives; collation and development of resources; creation of on-line materials to support learning; transcribing and analysing data from learning and teaching related research; etc.
Informal queries in relation to this vacancy are welcome and should be directed to Dr Christopher Holland, Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy, by emailing c.holland@worc.ac.uk
