About Us
The King’s community is dedicated to the service of society. King’s Strategic Vision 2029 sets out our vision for the future, shaped around five priority areas: educate to inspire and improve; research to inform and innovate; serve to shape and transform; a civic university at the heart of London; and an international community that services the world. Our ambitious Education Strategy sets out the actions that we must take to transform how we teach, how and where our students learn and how we support them during their time with us.
The Student Lifecycle Systems team provides complex and technical support for student systems throughout the annual academic cycle, and on behalf of stakeholders across the organisation. This involves performing large scale data processing and data management that supports the student’s lifecycle from enrolment to award.
We are part of the wider Students & Education Directorate, a collection of wide-ranging professional services in place to support King’s students and their education. As a directorate we manage the student lifecycle from application to graduation and beyond, to ensure a coherent and seamless student experience and effective administrative processes, working closely with King’s faculties to do so.

About the Role
The Student Lifecycle Systems Analyst role will work as part of a team to ensure that all daily system processes complete successfully, provide system support, documentation, testing, problem management and change management activity to users. This is a new role and will be heavily involved in ensuring that service delivery is fit for purpose and evolves constantly to meet business needs, including defining and implementing University policy, regulations and all business processes to ensure it is responsive and proactive.

The post-holder will contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of strategies and procedures to ensure system processes and system operations meet business demands. Working closely with the Associate Director: Business Systems to implement the ongoing maintenance strategy specific to system processes for student systems, implementing best practices and adopting new technologies as they become available.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
This is a full-time post, but we welcome applications from candidates seeking a flexible work pattern within our necessary service operating hours.

Ensuring the integrity and quality of system data through data analysis and troubleshooting and by responding to data queries, data changes and reporting

Performing root cause analysis on known errors or issues and suggesting process improvements as part of problem management
Testing of new maintenance packs, patches, minor enhancements and system upgrades, executing test plans and following up any unresolved issues

Working with colleagues to driving a culture of service management and improvement
Developing and continuously updating a detailed knowledge of student system functionality and related business processes
Supporting the training, mentoring, development and career progression of colleagues in the function
The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
