Job Purpose:
This is opportunity to work with Global Technology team on present & upcoming Automation technologies along with its’ integration with PlantPAx DCS.
Team Lead will work with RA Businesses to take part in the development and testing of RA product standard libraries, PlantPAx Process library and ACM Libraries. Also he/she would drive development of various tools (productivity & migration tools), interact with Front office teams to capture requirements for development / testing and design customized libraries for engineering. Be a contact with Global team and work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver Application Technology deliveries. He / She would strive for new opportunities in new advanced technologies in automation domain.
He/She shall lead a team that will design architectural solutions & implement the solution, workaround to ensure that technical deliverables meet automation requirements. He/She would work closely with Technical / Industry leads to understand the requirements and explore the tools/ solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate should be able to drive technology initiatives
Interact with Global stakeholders, contribute to design innovative solutions with complete independent ownership and accountability
Ability to take on challenging tasks and be a solution provider to internal stakeholders & technology team on solutions for tools / standard libraries, articulate efficient testing methods
Support internal project teams in customized standard library development
Assist internal stakeholders on developing standard library sets for global release with complete ownership
He/She shall be responsible for the following activities (not only limited to):
Explore Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) opportunities
Portfolio Development Initiatives (Energy App)
PlantPAx Integration with Cloud technologies
Industrial IoT (IIoT) – FT EdgeGateway & PTC ThingWorx
Virtual Reality (Emulate 3D)
Automation Library Testing (PlantPAx / NextGen)
Standard & Custom Libraries development (ACM/GCM)
Development & maintenance of Migration Tools (PLC/HMI conversion tools & DCS Crawler)
Manage Migration tools services
Lead technical implementation in whole life-cycle of PoC and product development
Ability to present solution to the stakeholders and coordinate development tasks with team members & software engineers
Work with PM for scope management, deliver execution plans & effectively monitor the execution with good quality, cost effectiveness, customer acceptance and customer satisfaction
Develop robust quality process & ensure strict adherence
Drive improvements & document, exchange best practices with other team members to GEC capabilities
Has ability to adopt to changing needs, and identify technical/ management risks & plan mitigation actions in advance
Handle escalations efficiently, analyze root causes & plan corrective/preventive actions
Drive cost reduction through continuous process improvement, and through development of reusable engineering standards
Drive business growth & strengthen foot print of GEC as technology leader
Support management in AOP planning
Timely status reporting & adherence to GEC vision
Job related Competencies
Total 10 to 16 years of automation experience. At least 10 years of experience in working and executing projects on control systems, process automation and/or experience of supporting FAT, SAT and the ability to troubleshoot control systems.
Exposure to advanced automation technologies would be an added advantage
Technical Skills – Candidate with exposure to most of the following skills would be preferred:
High level of expertise in RA products such as Control Logix, FTView SE/ ME, ACM or GCM tool, GEMS or Process Objects , RA Solutions
Good understanding of advanced solutions like FT Batch, Sequence Manager, S88 Standards, etc.
Good experience on PlantPAx systems and functionalities. Awareness of NextGen libraries would be an added advantage
Good understanding of Server Client architecture, Thin client and RDP
Knowledge of advanced technologies like PTC ThingWorx, Emulate3D, etc. is preferred
Experience with at least one third party DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA systems each
Excellent customer focus
Knowledge of IT software platforms, prior hands on experience with migrations, awareness of latest updates on upcoming automation technologies (Cloud solutions, IIoT etc.) would be an added advantage either
Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required

Experience & Qualification Requirements:
BE/B Tech in Instrumentation & Control / Electronics / Computer Science Engineering is required.
10-16 years of experience on various Rockwell Automation platforms
Requires strong interpersonal, organizational and written/verbal communication & leadership skills
Certification in Agile Methodology (like Scrum Master) or PMP would be preferred
