Job Description : Position Title – Technical SpecialistLocation – ChennaiYears of Experience – 7+ yearsWork Timing – 5 PM to 2 AM ISTWe require a technical specialist who is very passionate about technology, you would be required to support clients over the phone and on site visits. (Linux experience would be an advantage). In your role you will have to ensure permanent solutions are put in place and full root cause analysis is done for the top 20 clients. As part of the root cause analysis you would be required to take the necessary information to the Development team to ensure the issues do not re-occur.Roles & Responsibilities: Locate and find permanent solutions to complicated problems.Walk customers through the process of installing the software on their machines and starting up the program for the first timeHelp customers troubleshoot issues they encounter while using the software and provide actionable tips to resolve the problemResolve problems by taking remote control over customers’ computers.Make hardware recommendations for customers whose machines cannot support the softwareTroubleshooting technical programs.Learning about new products and technologies.Requirements : Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAdvanced knowledge of networking principles and operating systems (Windows/Linux & Mac).Knowledge of script languages like Shell/Bash would be an added advantage.Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, information systems, or related fieldPrior experience working on a Helpdesk, in IT, or similar technical functionJob Type: Full-timeSalary: ₹700,000.00 – ₹1,200,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insuranceSchedule:Night shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Technical Support Occupations: 6 years (Preferred)total work: 7 years (Preferred)Linux: 6 years (Preferred)Shell Scripting: 6 years (Preferred)Shift availability:Night Shift (Preferred)Overnight Shift (Preferred)
