Job Description : Seckford Education TrustTrust Finance Manager35 hours per week9.00am – 5.00pm£35,000 – £42,000 (dependent on experience)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, diligent and confident Trust Finance Manager to join our Trust (which currently consists of five schools across Suffolk), ideally having had experience working in an educational setting.The successful candidate will be an ambitious, strategic leader with the ability to influence at all levels. You will be confident, communicative and approachable. You will be a good problem solver, a creative thinker and work efficiently to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment. You will be observant and have good attention to detail.The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of accounting services with a key focus on the following tasks:- Managing the Trust and its respective Schools’ budgets to ensure accurate forecasting and management of working capital;- Monitor budgets, track changes and regularly communicate with budget holders;- Undertake timely and accurate reconciliations;- Prepare quarterly, monthly and ad hoc reports;- Manage statutory accounts and returns in accordance with agree timescalesThe successful candidate will be either ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience; an absolute minimum of AAT level 4 would be required. You will be passionate about supporting change and have a desire for finance to play a key role in the growth of our expansion plans.As part of this role you will be required to manage the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant so managerial experience is required. The role will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.A working knowledge of Financial Systems is essential and an understanding of PSF would be desired.The role follows a hybrid working pattern: three days a week remote working, with travel to the two days a week office/school based. A central office space is located at our SET Saxmundham school.
