We design, build, install and support systems in 5,700 retail sites – processing over 20 billion transactions each year through our data centres.
UI DEVELOPER
We are looking for an experienced UI Developer who is an expert in UI design, UX design, and front-end development to join the team. The role holder will be a natural at understanding human-computer interaction design (HCID) and in coming up wit elegant solutions to improve our applications.
The position is a hybrid role, working remotely for 2 or 3 days per week in the HTEC Southampton Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a UI Developer you will;

Conduct research and deconstruct our users’ digital interactions and habits.
Collaborate as a part of our ‘UI Development Chapter’ to align UI / UX strategies based on our target goals.
Create and maintain digital assets, such as interface design files, wireframes, and interactive mock-ups.
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, secure and reliable code
Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
Understand the limitations of our tech stack and business model and provide technical advice wherever necessary.
Actively engage in team meetings and discussions
Create and maintain accurate documentation
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be considered for the role you will need:

Expert knowledge of JavaScript web UI development
Expert knowledge of CSS, CSS extension languages (Less, Sass), and CSS pre-processor tools
Expert knowledge of HTML5 and its best practices
Familiarity with Angular and TypeScript
Experience with TDD and unit testing
Use of the source control technology GIT
Strong willed, confident, and forward thinking
Experience leading technical design sessions
