Job Description : HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire a forward-thinking, experienced UI Engineer to join its Data Center Security Team.

In this role, you’ll develop, create, and modify user interfaces through an understanding of end-user needs.

We’re looking for a candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to their success. You’re a professional with advanced, hands-on technical skills in developing easy to use and understand user interfaces for security automation and tooling.

The ideal candidate should have a general knowledge of information security tools and deep knowledge/experience in the following core areas: professional UI development, resolving performance and scalability issues, and architecting efficient/reusable front-end abstractions that drive complex UIs.

As a UI Engineer, you’ll:

Engage with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers’ business problem/goals.
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
Produce highly reliable and performant code with appropriate monitoring and alerting.
Implement the features and user interfaces of the company’s internal tools.
Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.
Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.

3+ years experience in professional UI development
Experience in software design and development
Experience with data-driven UI development
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with security tooling is a plus
Strong ability to build documentation and artifact trails that document your work is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field is a plus

Commitment: This is a full-time, 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be fully remote until offices reopen and is available to candidates local to the Fort Worth, TX; Fremont, CA; or Reston, VA areas.
