What will you be doing?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing strategies based on insights from real people, has the proficiency in their craft to turn these insights into appealingly designed products. The person we are looking for needs to be comfortable writing clear and concise content across multiple channels and touchpoints – including product names, labels, navigational elements, interface language, accessibility content, detailed UX guidelines around visual style, component behaviours, and editorial advice.

They would also be required to partner with designers, researchers, product managers, other UX practitioners and engineers to deliver compelling content solutions. Lead projects across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches. Together with these cross-functional partners, set the vision for the user experience and build the space for others to collaborate. We are actively in search of somebody with a global mindset who can apply big-picture thinking to break down open-ended opportunities into meaningful next steps. Find new opportunities to build patterns and approaches across org boundaries.

Your Role:

The role is to shape product experiences by creating useful, meaningful text that helps users complete the task at hand. You will help shape the overall customer experience and be an integral part of the product and UX design team. You will help us articulate the vision for content and drive product narratives across multiple platforms. As a UX writer, your portfolio must demonstrate content that has enhanced and simplified the overall user experience.

Define product language, UX and branding
Research and test Hypothesis
Cooperating with central and outside agencies
Oversee final layouts
Oversee UI/UX design strategy

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with UX designers, product teams, and researchers to craft language systems across a variety of contexts, including but not limited to UI components and editorial content
Design scalable systems and structures to support large amounts of content
Anticipate customer needs based on their objectives and explore innovative solutions in a space where little precedence exists
Create user-centred solutions by considering market segment analysis, customer feedback, metrics, and usability findings
Use business requirements and user research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
Collaborate with UX design to quickly and iteratively create interaction flows, wireframes, and design mock-ups throughout the design process

Skills/Requirements:

An available online portfolio
Writing Skills – Be able to see “words” as part of design. Research and evaluate copy that resonates with users
5+ years of experience as a user experience writer or similar role.
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating user-centred design solutions.
Experience working in a collaborative team, publicly white-boarding, and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
Be aware of the company, branding and product style guides to align with what “words” are meant to achieve and what actions user takes
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Be aware and have experience with using research methods to perform “conversation mining” – research related specifically to to words used in a product

Preferred Qualifications

Journalism or editorial experience or background
Experience with UX writing for complex workflows software products
Experience working with user research and analysing customer feedback
Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
