Job Description : Thursday – 4pm-8pmFriday – 4pm-8pmSaturday – 8.30-5Sunday – 10-4.3022 hour contractDo you have a bright, bubbly, outgoing demeanour, while still being empathetic?Do you take delight in making clients happy and ensuring their needs are met?Do you like being organised, and looking at the detail in your work?We have the role for you….Our friendly, small animal veterinary practice is looking for a reliable, approachable and professional part-time receptionist to join our welcoming team. This person will provide a high standard of customer care to our fantastic client base, while maintaining a link between the clients and clinical team.We are a team of four veterinary surgeons, four nurses, three veterinary care assistants, four receptionists and two practice managers.The role consists of:- Answering phone calls quickly and effectively dealing with all our client queries- Making our clients feel welcome and relaxed during their visits- Booking appointments and ensuring reminders are set- Entering data accurately into our appointment management system- Dealing with email enquiries and processing online orders where required- Keeping the vet and nurse diaries up to date, while managing the waiting room so clients are seen on time- Ensuring the reception area meets our hygiene standards- Taking payments from clients and cashing up at the end of every dayWe all work together to ensure all tasks are completed, so you may be asked to do other tasks as wellThe ideal candidate will have:- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Proficient English and Mathematic skills- Basic computer skills- Excellent attention to detail- Ability to remain calm in a busy environment- Working as part of a team, as well as working on their own using your own initiative to carry out tasks- The ability to receive and act upon instructionsPrevious experience working within a customer facing, or animal environment would be beneficial, but not essential as full training will be given.Job Types: Part-time, PermanentPart-time hours: 22 per weekSalary: £9.50 per hourBenefits:Employee discountOn-site parkingStore discountsApplication question(s):Please confirm you can work the hours stated in the job advert.Please confirm you’ve reviewed the salary and are happy to proceed on this basisWhat has made you apply for this role as a Veterinary Receptionist?
