Job Description : SpongeSponge, near Holt, is a modern and exciting online cake business, producing a fantastic range of wonderful cakes which are sold to our customers via the website and through a network of wholesalers throughout the UK.Following a recent move to a large, purpose built site on the of Holt Country Park, Sponge has ambitious plans to become the leading online cake business in the UK and we are looking to recruit a web developer to join the team, reporting to the Head of Technology.Job descriptionAn ideal opportunity for a new graduate, or enthusiastic candidate with relevant experience to advance their real world web development skills in a fast moving and dynamic e-commerce environment.Based at our Holt HQ your role may include:- Back end development on our ecommerce platform and order fulfilment systems- Front end development on our ecommerce platform- CMS development on our own and sister company sites (Byfords, The Pigs, Ffolkes, Assembly House).Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the following technologies:- PHP Frameworks (ideally Symfony >=5)- Front end HTML and templating languages (ideally Twig/Jinja/Liquid style)- CSS- Consumption and creation of REST APIs- Vue JS- GitExperience in the following technologies would be desirable:- Tailwind CSS- Sass- AWS (including RDS/S3/Elastic Beanstalk)- Heroku- Android/Kotlin- Craft CMS- VagrantRequirements: Excellent computer skills.Detail oriented and thorough.Ability to work independently and with othersAbility to work under pressure as & when required.Extremely organized with strong time-management skillsJob Type: Full-timeSalary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:Bonus schemeBenefits:Flexible scheduleSchedule:Monday to FridayWork remotely:No
