The Ads Team at KAYAK comprises four separate teams that are organised around skills, with each team having a different focus area. These teams are 1. Ad Sales – Selling to our partners directly and through media agencies, 2. Account Management – working in partnership with the ad sales team to make sure KAYAK is delivering against our partners critical metrics 3. Key Accounts – Management of our largest advertising partnerships 4. Advertising Operations – Making sure our campaigns are set up accurately, on time and trouble shooting any technical issues. The teams combined are responsible for delivering KAYAK’s advertising revenue goals and driving travel ad innovation. As advertising specialists, this team has in-depth knowledge across a breadth of topics and ensure that this knowledge is used in the best way to meet our clients’ needs.

The Ad Ops Executive will support the Ad Ops team to produce ads for all partners in the EMEA region. You will need to be a self-starter and able to thrive in an agile, fast-paced and operational environment. Critical thinking, proactivity, and resourcefulness are all crucial skills for this role.

In this role, you will:
Demonstrate operational skill – The Ad Ops team works alongside Account Managers and the Key Accounts Team to produce KAYAK onsite and off-site ads on behalf of our partners. You will learn our internal and external ad servers and become proficient in their abilities and function. Organisation and operational thinking are traits that will allow you to succeed in this role.

Be a team player – Within the Ad Ops team, you will be supporting teammates with troubleshooting technical issues, operational tasks, and knowledge sharing. You will also be working closely with members of our 3 other teams that make up the EMEA advertising team. This will include answering technical questions, supporting partner needs, and building strong internal relationships. This team will also be working alongside the Product Operations team to test and assist in developing new products.

Ability to learn and adjust to change – Our products and ad servers are consistently being developed to better suit our partners and users. It is important that you can welcome change and use our resources to be educated in them. Our team is the authorities on our ad servers and the technical aspects of our ads. Therefore, in this role you will need to be proficient in current offerings and any adjustments to them.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Gathering screenshots of live placements
QA pending and live campaigns
Crafting offsite and onsite media
Being proficient in our ad products and functions
Authoritative level of our ad server capabilities
Creating documentation of processes and products
Proactive approach to learning and development

DFP experience is required
