General Summary
As the “Talent Acquisition Specialist,” you will be a team player, work with a team of seasoned talent sourcers to identify and engage top quality engineering/non-engineering talent. S/he will create sourcing solutions that will help hire the best talent for Qualcomm Americas organization spanning the US, Canada, and Latin America.
This role will:
Report to the Manager, Talent Acquisition function for the Americas region
Will be based in Whitefield Bangalore, India
Will operate on the UK shift (starting at 2:00 PM IST)
Role Expectations
Driving the Campus hiring sourcing strategy for engineering and technology skills at targeted US universities for Internship and New Graduate roles.
Build early engagement strategies to attract and source candidates early on in their job search journey.
Ability to focus on multiple requisitions, prioritize sourcing activities, and exhibit on-time delivery commitment.
Partner with lateral hiring team and campus team to identify full-time opportunities for the pending intern rollovers.
Engage active and passive top talent through on-campus relationships and various diversity events and conferences.
Co-ordinating the sourcing activities from various events, training the fellow sourcers in utilizing the conference databases and Canvas for sourcing needs as a part of the events and conference workstream.
Participate in key stakeholder meetings including intake calls, weekly cadences, and debriefs, providing market intelligence and insight to help influence and drive an effective sourcing strategy for early career talent.
Through innovative research, build a candidate pipeline, effective outreach, i.e., developing high response generating messaging templates and comprehensive candidate screening and providing unparalleled candidate experience.
Track and maintain a real-time record of candidates in ATS, monitor interview pipeline, and selection ratio of both diversity and non-diversity candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Human Resources, Psychology, Humanities, or related field.
3-5 years of work experience within Campus Recruitment, as a sourcing specialist or full life cycle recruiter, with a minimum of 2 recent years working in US Recruitment
S/he will act as a talent advisor, communicate effectively with the recruiters, recruiting managers, hiring managers, and team members throughout the sourcing/recruitment process. Share and exchange timely information with stakeholders and candidates
Proven track record in sourcing and hiring candidates from diversified and unconventional sourcing channels (ATS, LinkedIn, Job portals, Social sites, etc.)
S/he will participate in team and organizational level strategic initiatives (viz Diversity conferences, hiring events, etc.) including assessment of best practices in talent sourcing, competitor intelligence, diversity & inclusion and contribute to the overall TA strategy
As an ambassador of Qualcomm, share our value proposition to increase and strengthen brand awareness in the market
Basic knowledge of MS-Excel and PPT to prepare weekly/monthly reports and updates
Preferred Qualifications
Talent souring or full desk recruiting for a Hi-tech company/client will be an added advantage
Candidate should be tech-savvy, interested in learning about Qualcomm’s emerging technologies, products (5G, Mobile, Computing, Automotive, IoT, etc.) and apply this knowledge in finding the best talent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently transports equipment up to 5 lbs.
Monitors and utilizes computers for more than 6 hours a day.
Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
