Job Description : About The role
This role will be accountable for the day to day operations of a highly performant, fit for purpose and compliant Apple User End Point (Mac and iOS) estate across Dyson globally.
The Dyson Digital Workplace user base is made up of various user personas and therefore differing user expectations and demands across our Executive Team, Research and Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Retail, Commercial and core support functions e.g HR, Finance, IT etc.
Apple Mac device usage is significant within the Executive community, Research and Design and our Creative teams. Apple iOS device usage is significant across all persona types.
You will
Be accountable for the service delivery of Apple End User Computing Operations via a strategic third party across the hardware, build, patching, licencing, application and management in the Apple End User Computing Estate.
Be able to technically hold Dyson’s external partner to account in the Apple End User estate i.e. you must be technically skilled in Apple technologies and JAMF
Effectively manage the Apple service delivery partners from level 1 support to level 3 to ensure compliance to SLA’s, KPI’s, XLA’s and Dyson’s policies and processes. You will also ensure that effective monitoring, alerting and service processes are defined and in place
Be responsible for the Service Delivery governance and reporting with the third party along with upward reporting to Senior DWS Team members on Apple service delivery including incidents, problem, change and request management
Through the use of data driven insights, suggest and deliver service improvements that align to the broader DWS service strategy of shift left, automation, self heal and self help
Work collaboratively with DWS Project Delivery teams to ensure any projects delivered into the Apple environment are transitioned into service operations smoothly with minimal impact to users
Work with the third party support partner to drive continual service improvements
Provide escalation support in the event of major incidents or senior level escalations
Travel on an agreed frequency to global Dyson sites and the third party service providers
Ensure strong supplier relationships and management of Apple service providers
Seek and act on feedback from Apple users on the quality of service delivery – leveraging the wider DWS global team where required
Ensure that where applicable Apple EUC services are delivered in a persona based approach with particular consideration given to the Dyson Executive team, Creative Teams and Research and Design aligned users.
Ensure regular user/customer engagement especially with Research and Design and Creative users in order to continually drive improvement into the service delivery
Work with onsite Dyson Executive EUC Engineers to ensure the Executive Teams Apple devices are in good working order, performant and compliant.
Ensure compliance to Dysons standards, policies and processes
Stay abreast of trends in the digital workplace and end user support, management, technologies, sourcing, policies, procedures and other external changes that could have an impact on IT End User Apple services.
About You
At least two years experience in a similar End User Computing operational role in a company of a similar size, scale and complexity as Dyson
Demonstrable experience of effective technical and contractual management of suppliers delivering End User Computing services
Strong customer service focus on technical service delivery
Technically proficient in Apple End User Computing with experience in:
Jamf 200 Certification (CCT) or above
Strong troubleshooting theory; ability to diagnose issues surrounding the Mac environment
Strong understanding of Apple culture and Mac Infrastructure
Extensive knowledge and experience with configuring and supporting macOS Deployment Workflows
Experience with the Command Line and Scripting (Bash)
Experience with using Apple Business Manager for ADE (DEP) and VPP
Experience with Patch Management in a Mac environment
Experience integrating Macs in an Active Directory and Azure AD environment
Experience using NoMAD/Jamf Connect
Experience managing Macs in a Microsoft centric environment
Knowledge of LDAP users and group management
Knowledge of ASPNs
Experience Microsoft Office applications
Experience Adobe Creative Cloud applications
Experience using Mac software packaging tools (Composer, AutoPKGr)
Familiarity with Networking concepts such as IPv4, IPv6, TCP/UDP, LAN and Wi-Fi, DNS, Proxy, VLAN and Firewall configurations
Knowledge of SSO and MFA
Desirable:
Apple Certified Technical Coordinator or Apple Certified System Administrator certification
Experience with Jamf Protect
Experience with Microsoft Defender ATP
Experience with Microsoft Intune
Experience Quantum StorNEXT and Video production workflows
Automation of macOS devices in Enterprise environments
Deep understanding of 802.1x, PKI and certificate configuration
Experience with Kinobi patch management
Experience with the Command Line and Scripting (Python)
Experience with Swift Development
Experience of Virtualisation
Understanding of Apple Developer account management and Xcode
Experience of using REST API
Experience of using XML and JSON
