Job Description : About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and highly driven Assistant Accountant to join our cross-divisional UK Retail Finance Team.
You will be joining an experienced and fast-paced Finance team and will be assisting a Finance Manager, alongside another Assistant Accountant, to cope with the daily workload of the following areas:

Cost of Sales – including Supplier Rebate income
Cashflow – Daily cashbook postings and reconciliations
Revenue – You may be asked to assist with Revenue to Cash Reconciliations, as and when required

The above provides exposure to all divisions under the Retail banner, from B2B to AO Mobile

Here’s What You Can Expect To Be Doing

You’ll perform calculations of accrued Income for Supplier rebates and perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations accordingly.

You’ll need to create/maintain monthly reconciliation of Supplier turnover statements and manage the daily cashbook postings.

You’ll carry out analytical reviews as part of the month-end reporting packs and contribute to monthly reporting packs for Senior Stakeholders
Maintaining robust controls across the process.

A Few Things About You
You’ll be a part-qualified Accountant studying forCIMA or equivalent qualification
You’ll need a good degree of experience in Excel and a strong eye for detail.
You’ll have previously owned balance sheet reconciliations
To be successful in this role you must be an excellent communicator
You’ll have had plenty of exposure to accounting systems, we use MS Dynamics AX
