POSITION: Permanent, Full Time & Part Time (22.5, 30 or 37.5 hours per week)
Service operating hours 8am-9pm 7 days a week
LOCATION: Fully remote
SALARY: £22,000 -31,100 per annum

OUR TEAM
Our team is part of Healios Labs which develops and tests new clinical services and products. We carefully evaluate and improve these innovations in an agile manner, as well as conducting formal research projects into our evolving clinical services. Your role is to both provide clinical input into our new services as well as to help evaluate them. You will be joining a team of 3 clinical psychologists, 9 assistant psychologists/coaches as well as having close contact with other clinicians in the core Healios services.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an Assistant Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about providing high quality patient care in an innovative new service and working with a dynamic and forward-thinking team. You will provide text based support to clients who are receiving a range of internet and mobile phone app digital interventions. Working closely with clinical psychologists, CBT therapists and other assistant psychologists you will contribute to a clinical rota to ensure that clients are able to optimally engage with our therapeutic programmes, including helping users to navigate the ThinkNinja app. You will provide emotional support and encouragement, assess urgent or complex needs, and step users up to other Healios services or signpost to appropriate services (in consultation with a clinical supervisor/manager). In addition you will be contributing to the initial assessment and preparation of young people referred for therapy by delivering video-conference sessions under supervision. Where coaches have sufficient training and skills they may also be involved in delivering single strand CBT Interventions to YP, as part of the YPs overall treatment journey with Healios, which may also consist of support from CBT Therapists and Clinical Psychologists.
You will also undertake a wide range of other duties including projects to assist the clinical team, the development of clinical materials and new clinical projects, administration of clinical assessments and other clinical work as appropriate. There will be a significant audit/ research component and the expectation will be that work will be submitted for publication and presented nationally/internationally. Regular clinical supervision and in-house training will be provided to assist your professional development.
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

Psychology Degree (2:1 or above) accredited by the British Psychological Society. Eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society

A counselling/ therapy qualification such as Wellbeing Practitioner Post Graduate Certificate (CYP IAPT) or completion of significant training

Previous experience of research/audit, collation of data and production of reports, in an Assistant Psychologist role or equivalent

Previous experience providing coaching, counselling, psychological therapy or other mental health care

Up-to-date knowledge of psychology. An awareness and understanding of contemporary issues in the field of mental health

Experience working with young people and adults with mental health problems and/or other disabilities

Ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of people and demonstrate respect for service users and their families

PRE- EMPLOYMENT CHECKS
As part of our pre-employment checks, all employees of Healios will be asked to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Dependent on your role within the business, this will either be an Enhanced or Basic. A Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check may also be required. You will be asked to provide two professional references as a minimum.
