Job Description : Generator Power is the UK’s largest Independent generator company with over 24 years of experience in the industry. Generator Power has grown in recent years and is ready for further expansion. This growth offers the opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team at our head office in Normanton WF6.Monday to Friday 40 hours a week Duties/Responsibilities: Assist with Preparation of month-end accounts;Prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, rebates and journals;Balance sheet reconciliation;Bank reconciliation;VAT and HMRC returns;Assistance with daily, weekly and monthly accounting reportsDeal with general accounts enquiries;Assisting with internal and external audits;Producing reports on various expenditures from the company in order to calculate profit and loss;Support with annual tax packs and annual audit requirements;Supporting and liaising with both the Management Accountant and Finance ControllerOther Ad-hoc administration/office duties;Any customer queries must be dealt with quickly and efficiently;Line Manager or Director requests are to be completed within the same day or within timescale provided by them.Qualifications required: AAT QualifiedGCSE in English & Maths.Confidence with IT and computer packages – Excel essential.Sage 200 accounting package certificate/experience.Skills required: AdministrationAccounts experienceExcellent organisation skills.Good communications skills, written and verbal.An ability to work efficiently under pressure.Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)Experience:Accountants: 2 years (preferred)AAT: 2 years (preferred)Sage 200 accounting package: 2 years (preferred)
