RKSV Securities was founded by Ravi Kumar and Shrinivas Viswanath in 2009 and was soon graced by Kavitha Subramanian as the third co-founder in 2016. Backed by Ratan Tata, Upstox had raised $4 million in Series A funding in early 2016 that was led by Kalaari Capital. The Series B funding round scaled multifold and witnessed an investment of $25 million by US-based investment firm – Tiger Global Management in September 2019. We have a team of highly skilled technology and finance professionals, and are currently looking for highly motivated field experts to be part of our high-energy team.
Where did it all start:
Our journey started in 2010, when Raghu Kumar (RK), Ravi Kumar (RK) and Shrinivas Viswanath (SV) founded RKSV Securities India Pvt. Ltd., a proprietary trading firm. In 2012, we opened up to the general public by entering the retail brokerage space as a discount-broking firm. The dream was to make stock-market investing affordable and easy for all Indians, while ensuring that we also made profits from the venture. In 2016, we rebranded ourselves as Upstox. Kavitha Subramanian (KS) has now joined the founding team and is propelling Upstox to it’s new heights. The uniquely global-Indian model of Upstox is strongly reflective of the Indian-American antecedents of its co-founders, who bring their knowledge and experience of working in both the Indian and US financial markets.
Position: Associate Manager Content
Role Objective
Upstox is India’s fastest growing investment platform and our primary aim is to democratise investment. We believe Content holds the key to empowering the investor to make informed decisions and this principle reflects in the content on the app/ website/social media properties of Upstox. Potential Candidates must be able to work with a team and guide them to generate daily, high-quality engaging Content for the Upstox app and social media properties.
Day to day work
Work closely with the Content team on daily content offerings
Check for accuracy, jargon and language
Ensure content – in house/ outsourced- is in line with Upstox’s criteria and meets our quality standards
Write content pieces Ideate, conceptualize and execute new content offerings
Cross-function work
Work with Marketing/Activation/Growth teams and provide content support where needed
Basic Requirements
Demonstrated ability to create content for digital and social media
Ability to ideate and come up with novel ways for content delivery
Proven ability to edit copy for grammar and accuracy
Proven ability to create content for a Millennial/ Gen Z audience
Fluency in Hindi & English
What could set you apart
Your original content on your social media handle
Knowledge of video production/ editing Proven data-crunching ability
Practical knowledge of SEO
Ability to communicate (read/speak/write) in a language other than Hindi/ English
