Digital Common Services team, which drives digital transformation of Boeing through continuous delivery of cost optimized common services and innovative technology products is looking for Associate software programmer. This team utilizes SaFe methodology to develop products using Microservices, event driven architecture. Also, it leads strategic direction, provides solutions and drives business value to keep Boeing and its partners connected in the most innovative, efficient and effective way.
We are looking for passionate individuals to create, own, and continuously improve strategic and tactical direction for the Software Development environment and engaged in product development using microservices architecture and help to define best practices, improved processes, develop reusable libraries, SDKs and common services that will be used across the enterprise.
Position Responsibilities:
Work very closely with product manager, UX designer and architect to define technical product requirements and collaborate within agile teams to drive user story/tasks creation along with design and development activities.
Create and maintain necessary software design and relevant documentation.
Proactive suggestions in identifying Technical Debt and recommendations in removing it
Automation using DevSecOps and other available tools to expedite the product development achieving First Time Quality
Participate in group sessions within developer community and share knowledge
Actively align the technical roadmap, Enterprise API catalog and Interaction Design, within teams based across international locations
Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution
Monitor the implementation of architecture throughout the system development lifecycle and seek and provide clarification when needed.
Work with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners, across different cultures and time-zones.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Good understanding of Distributed systems design. Proficient in Object Oriented Design Patterns
Hands-on development experience in JAVA, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring data and Spring security and other modern technologies
Good Understanding on Micro services implementation, authentication, monitoring, testing, documentation (Swagger etc.)
Experience with JavaScript frameworks Angular 2.x /4/5/8
Experience in distributed event streaming platform
Experience on remote procedure call and data serialization framework(Avro etc)
Experience with container technologies Docker, Kubernetes, Open shift
Experience in configuration tools like Gitlab, ADO, Confluence
Experience in best practices and tools around continuous integration and continuous delivery
Working knowledge on any of IDEs/tools like Eclipse, Intelij and expertise in maintaining code quality using SonarQube, and security compliance tools.
Experience in Cloud Technologies: PCF/AWS / Azure /GCP
Bachelor’s degree or higher

Databases : Oracle, SQL Server, No SQL, MySQL, MongoDB
Web : J2EE, Java Security, JSP/Servlets, EJB, XML, XSL/XSLT, JavaScript

Architecture knowhow : Event Driven Design- Microservices & SOA Architecture
Familiar with data modeling concepts
API Management: API Connect
Mobile: JQuery, NodeJS, Angular, CSS3, HTML5
Tools & Utils : JDK, J2SE, J2EE, JUnit, JTest, Eclipse, JDeveloper, Java, Unix Tools, Maven, SOAPUI, GitLab, Jenkins, security compliance tools

Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or 3 year Diploma with typically 5 to 8 Years related work experience and/or a Master’s degree or 3 year Diploma with typically 4 to 7 Year’s related work experience or relevant military experience.
