Job Description : About the team and/or client
This is a role in the finance team of GroupM UK reporting into the Group Head of Accounting & control. The role will work closely with the GroupM Reporting team, Agencies Commercial Compliance teams, and GroupM UK Trading Teams.
The Role Objective
The objective of the role is, working as part of a team who are there to ensure compliance with internal policies, identify risks and improve key controls, execute Balance Sheet Verification testing, and cooperate with stakeholders to improve Balance Sheet Verification processes.
Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities are to:
Perform an independent, regular sample testing of the underlying substantiation that feeds into Balance Sheet Verification (BSV) process
Execute BSV testing on sample balances from Cartesis Units across the front to back organization to provide assurance over the quality of evidence
Independent review of substantiation documentation and delivering BSV testing results within agreed deadlines
Identify improvements in the BSV processes to obtain efficiencies and improve key controls
Work proactively with all the internal and external stakeholders to resolve any substantiation issues and escalate any issues to the Management
Look to continuously enhance the existing risk and control framework

Skills:
Essential
Fully qualified accountant or equivalent (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
Ability to manage different stakeholders, with the gravitas and self-confidence to ensure that common objectives are met
First class communication skills, both written and oral.
Desire to work collaboratively and establish and maintain internal and external networks.
Proactive approach, a logical and analytical thought process, with good attention to detail and high level of accuracy in their output
Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
Good knowledge of Excel
