Job Description : Simpson Judge are working with a successfully placed 2-4 mil t/o business. The company is geographically located in Warrington, and require an office based individual to join them. The role encompasses the scope of activities related with the Finance Director to provide a professional accounting service for the organisations including financial controls and reporting of operating performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Maintain the financial transactional processes e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable etc in accordance with company procedures and relevant conventions
Proactively follow-up all accounts receivables to ensure the payment is received within the agreed terms
Prepare for approval by the Finance Director the accounts payable schedules, payroll etc in keeping with company payment policies
Assist Finance Director in carrying-out periodic internal audits of financial and operational controls, identify risk. Make suggestions to minimise any risks identified
Assist the Finance Director with the preparations for the annual audit of the Companies’ accounts
Maintain up-to-date schedules for tracking project budgets versus expenditure. On completion of a project, assess and report on project profitability
Maintain a high standard filing system for both hardcopies and electronic financial and other related data
Perform ad hoc activities as requested by management to maintain the effectiveness of the accounting function
Conduct all activities in accordance with Companies Health & Safety policies
General Responsibilities
In keeping with the Companies ethos of teamwork and customer service, proactively contribute to the development of a mutually supportive team that provides an excellent service to our customers
Contribute to maintaining the professionalism and organisation of the office environment
Qualifications and Experience
Experience in the construction industry and/or property lettings is desirableIT literate i.e. proficient at using accounting software packages, Xero and Sage Line 50, and Microsoft office softwareSelf Starter with demonstrable abilities at delivering business valueGood organisation skillsCapable of communicating with a wide range of individuals
Good team workerCash-flow management/debt collectionQuality of management information provided to budget holdersBusiness risks identification and control mechanismsOverall team contribution
