Job Description : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Math/Statistics/Engineering or other equivalent quantitative discipline
5+ years of experience in Forecasting/data science/advanced business analytics
Advanced knowledge of SQL, MS Excel, and Visualization tools
Strong Forecasting & Statistical know how with Experience in Python/R building basic statistical models to address business problems
Experience developing experimental and analytic plans for forecasting modelling, use of strong baselines, and the ability to accurately determine cause and effect relationships using A/B testing
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and delivering automated solutions for customer-facing data science problems

This individual is a key member of the PXT Expansions Team, which is responsible for creating and maintaining dashboards that help program managers to deliver a frustration-free and defect-free Day 1 launch experience for employees.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you must be a self-starter who is passionate about discovering and solving complicated problems, automating manual work, navigating complex systems, creating structured mechanisms, organizing and consolidating global reporting and performance data, simplifying and innovating processes and communicating information to global stakeholders and leaders. You will collaborate closely with our customers, service teams, and other Expansions teams to bring about prompt and complete resolution to complex challenges while evaluating root causes to eliminate waste and broken processes through innovation and automation.

Key job responsibilities
As a Business Intelligence Engineer your Key job responsibilities

Delivery of complex analysis/projects from initiation through implementation.
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
Leveraging code to analyze complex datasets and design, develop and evaluate data transformations to solve specific business problems.
Building scalable, efficient, and automated data processes to capture, control and validated all data with in a process to maintain data integrity and facilitate customer-facing reporting.
Enable customers to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses. Source, work with, and combine disparate data sets to answer business questions.
Write quality code to retrieve and analyze data. Understand data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
Continue to move forward in the face of ambiguity and imperfect data. Find a solution around the problem that still maintains a high analytical bar.
Ensure that decisions are based on the merit of their unbiased analytical results, not the proposer. Stay “true to data”.
Communicate analysis results and techniques, both verbally and in writing, clearly and confidently to peers and business partners.

About the team
PXT Expansions provides strategic guidance, program management and project execution for Amazon’s organic and inorganic (M&A) expansions across all Steams and geographies. The organization’s mission is to create ways for Amazon to grow smarter, optimizing for the customer experience while balancing global solutions and local needs for employees. The PXT EMEA Regional team primarily focuses on organic (non-M&A) Amazon expansion efforts, including new country (NCX), in-country (ICX) expansions for new business lines, new employee type set ups and legal entity change projects. The team brings business expansion ideas to life, through internal consulting, performing country due diligence and risk mitigation, enabling local companies (legal entities) for employment, launching employee Day One for the business, and providing post-launch support and transition to the local Business and HR Line

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
Experience working in/building very large data warehouse environments using AWS Data & Analytics solutions
Experience conducting large scale data analysis, regression, predictive analysis to support business decision making
Experience in building customer-facing ML products
