Job Description : Summary of the role
Are you a C++ developer with experience in backend development? Then you’re the person we’re looking for!
You’ll be designing, coding, debugging, documenting and maintaining software to shape the way the world moves. You’ll be joining one of the world’s top 10 software to power better journeys.
Your main responsibilities
Work out what users need: then:
Come up with plans to create new software or improve what we have
Model, design and implement Application (batch, daemons) / service (REST, WS) development using C++
Participate in development & high-level design for the application
Use your technical skills to give users what they’re after. You’ll do that by:
Designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining software solutions
Designing technical solutions and perform feasibility studies
Developing your software to follow our standards and quality guidelines
Check your solutions work. You’ll:
Run unit, package and performance tests
Go through the phase of checking your software works for other people
Fine-tune your software as a result of all your testing
Help get your software out into the world. You’ll:
Create documents to help our departments use your software
Debug software based on Problem Tracking Records and Change Requests from Product Management and Product Definition
About the ideal candidateUniversity degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalentProfessional programming experience
Expert in C++ (14) and exposure to C++17/20.Hands on experience in writing unit tests (cppunit, gtest etc.)Expert in debugging (GDB) and problem solvingExposure to any widely used libraries (e.g. boost, poco, and roguewave)Day to day life at work has code review as an integral partWorking experience in one or more structural messages [XML(XSD), JSON(Swagger), and YAML]In depth knowledge in using the right data structure and algorithmsExposure into databases of category relational & NoSQL (e.g. oracle & mongo)Good to have coding experience in Python or should have the desire to learn.Good to have exposure into enterprise cloud.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
