VMware Internal IT team is searching for a Client Services Engineer. This role will be responsible for the Build, Operation & Automation of the end user computing services. As a Client Services Engineer, you will be part of the VMWare Colleague Experience & Technology Client Services and will be working with some phenomenal minds of the End User Computing Division.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Showcasing your expertise in VMware End User Computing technologies, such as Horizon7, Horizon Cloud and Workspace ONE, would be a key success factor in your role
You will be expected to learn the new technology stack quickly and implement them in the production.
You will be regularly evaluated on the quality of the service you provide to ensure continued advancement of your technical skills in an environment that looks to expand them.
You will be monitored on your ability to innovate in the end-user computing services, which is the organization that supports internal colleagues. You demonstrate individual traits and capabilities, such as basic reasoning, critical thinking, worldwide familiarity, user experience focus. You take initiative, are creative, and work well in a group.
You will be expected to suggest, develop automations to reduce the manual efforts
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
As part of the Client Engineering Team, you will:
work with a team of global admins to maintain the corporate instance of Horizon Virtual Desktop & Virtual App environment Workspace One Access, Unified Endpoint Administration.
Build and Operate the Horizon 7, and Horizon Cloud Stack which include manage the Appvolume, DEM products and integrate with Horizon Stacks in the cloud and on-prem
Create and Build Application packages using ThinApp & Appvolume. Add, remove, and modify virtual desktop and application federation configurations.
Assist with the day to day activities around Application onboarding to Workspace ONE, Windows 10 Device Administration using Unified Endpoint Administration Tool, Horizon Virtual Desktop & Application deployment & Administration
Identify opportunities for automation within Build & Operation processes.
Run tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware and software.
Build Automation Scripts using various Programming Languages and APIs.
Collaborate with other business units to understand how automation can improve workflow.
Gather requirements from clients, customers or end-users to develop the best automation solutions.

The Hiring Manager for this role is a Senior Manager, Information Systems. His expertise is in various information technology streams such as data center, cloud, and end user computing.
He leads our Colleague Experience & Technology Client Engineering team which consists of 12 engineers focused on increasing the overall colleague experience.
He strongly believes in ideating & innovation being the core of the growth for the team & trusts his team to deliver.
Where is this role located?
Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.
