Executes operational activities related to quote, price, configuration, deal registration, order management process, invoicing, and contract life-cycle management to ensure that sales orders are successfully completed from quote to delivery and credited appropriately assigned for sales compensation. Produces deal documentation and configures systems to reflect ordering processes. Generates invoices and client billing in accordance with service and product agreements. Records, updates and validates customer and deal information in systems produces reports and analyses of sales processing activities.
Config and Quoting (EMEA)
The Configuration and Quotation operator works within a European, multicultural and fast moving business environment, supporting the Partners and Sales Force, within the area of Configuration and Quotation. He/she is located in a central configuration and quotation team and has a wide variety of responsibilities.
OBJECTIVES
Acquire advanced job skills (good knowledge of processes and tools) in order to be able to complete complex assignments/tasks (advanced knowledge of EMEA Configuration and Quotation processes, country specific processes, configuration tools and quotation rules)
Acquire deep understanding of general aspects of the job and become familiar with company, policies and procedures (relevant knowledge of HP business, products and Sales Operations)
Acquire cross functional knowledge in the areas of: Order management and Remarketed.
Acquire advanced technical expertise in the HPE product portfolio.
Main Responsibilities:
Configuration and Quotation operator is part of the sales operations team and covers a variety of responsibilities regarding the efficient processing of configuration and quotation requests such as:
Handles low touch transactions (Simple, Medium and High Complexity) configurations and quotations based on requests coming from Front End teams/sales representatives and makes sure of the existence of clear instructions of the request in order to minimize rework.
Creates system / solution configurations based on the Service Request specifications
Ensure configuration validity by checking all technical aspects and verify system part components availability
Deliver a buildable and supportable configuration
Ensure approved prices are reflected in the official customer quotation
Anticipates and answers questions and issues and proposes long term solutions.
Participate in meetings regarding changes / updates on tools, products and/or services and follow-up accordingly.
Create complementary material such as guidelines, process changes / updates, validation rules updates, products or offerings changes.
Provide best-in-class solution by offering the customer the most competitive solution respecting specified requirements.
Provide technical and pricing information to the Front End teams/Sales Reps
Work close with Front end to clear the technical aspects.
Collaborate with other functions and teams, to increase speed and accuracy.
Provide technical consultancy for internal and external customers time to time.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management or equivalent
Typically 2 – 3 years experience
Knowledge and Skills:
Basic understanding of business and sales processing tools, systems and practices
Good analytical, statistics and problem solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills
mastery in English and local language.
