Job Description : Responsible for developing and supporting Data Engineering services on GCP platform for Big Data stream.
Design, develop and maintain data engineering tools for collecting, exploring and transferring data
Design, develop and maintain data pipelines
Prospect Cloud environments & Develop guiding principles, standards and best practices for team members. Responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of cloud solutions
Act as Big Data Engineer (Development/Support) for customer facing engagement. Assist clients in defining strategy & migrating to the cloud
Work according to SLAs and strategic direction/implementation plans devised for the Agile sprint.
Participate in training programs to increase the effectiveness and knowledge.
Participate to provide Solution Proof of Concept
Project build & integration support (TTM or customer project).
Create documentation/ plans for activities performed.

Desired skills/knowledge
Knowledge
Programming language adapted to Data Engineering (Python, Scala/Java).
Excellent knowledge and solid experience in GCP (BigQuery, PubSub, Dataproc, Dataflow etc.)
Knowledge of implementing DWH flows migration to GCP.
Strong Skills on data pipelines architecture, from data ingestion to exploitation.
Data Analysis and visualization methodologies (VertexAI / Dataproc)
ETL methodologies on GCP platform.
Basic knowledge on comprehension of distributed systems (Hadoop ecosystems)
Spark, Kafka, Flume, Hive, Sqoop knowledge in terms of writing data ingestion flows,
Databases (PLSQL)
Knowledge of troubleshooting ingestion flow failures and providing fix.
Knowledge on Netezza, Abinitio, PLSQL/PLSQL on Netezza (migration to queries on top of BigQuery)
Skill on writing Cloud Composer/Airflow flows
Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git etc.)
Knowledge of automation framework (Terraform, Ansible)
Problem solving and investigation capabilities.
Skill to Design & Implement complex configurations.
Strong communication skills

Good written and fluent English

Educational Qualifications
University degree in Engineering or Science, master’s degree in computer science / Applications or BS Computer or equivalent with 60% or above.
Appropriate Platform Professional Certification in GCP, Data Engineer and ITIL.
