The Senior Consultant/Technical Specialist is responsible for assessing and designing complex solutions to meet our client’s technology and business needs. The consultant is a technical expert and participates in the design and delivery of custom software solutions.
Principle Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Assists with architecting and developing custom software solutions.
Engages in project and team ceremonies.
Researches and evaluates client systems and architecture; draws conclusions and develops recommendations in accordance with engagement objectives.
Discusses project scope and influences project scope to be able to be implemented on time and budget without sacrificing quality.
Identifies and resolves project issues with clients.
Contributes to writing proposal components or letters of understanding, as needed, and responds to RFPs and other marketing situations.
Works with internal personnel to define service opportunities, and develop standards of delivery, templates, and standard work products to meet internal and external delivery expectations.
Plans own and teams work to meet given objectives and processes.
Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving and mentors team members to follow his/her approach
Helps to develop technology solutions while ensuring a personal specialization in one or more IT technologies.
Other duties as assigned.
Ensure that all tasks performed to comply with Insight’s Policies and Procedures

Essential
A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
5+ years of experience architecting, designing and implementing advanced technology solutions.
Previous consulting/professional services experience is required
Ability to cultivate relationships with partners, suppliers in order to develop and share an understanding of technology roadmaps both within Insight and with Insight’s client community required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and abstract concepts in a clear and concise manner a must.
Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills combined with sound judgment.
Proven ability to develop technical requirements based on business imperatives.
Ability to write quality high level and detailed architectural diagrams, strategic roadmaps, and technical documentation that communicate customer vision
Understanding of project budgets
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively required.
Must be able to multi-task effectively.
The ability to interface effectively with client executives in a professional and business-like manner is a must.
Work with our customers to understand functional and business requirements and make appropriate technology recommendations.
Deliver strategic consultancy services including enterprise maturity assessments, roadmaps, and technology platform evaluations.
Develop and maintain effective customer and user relationships, including representing Insight at conferences, User Groups, and other marketing/PR activities as appropriate.
Technical skills:
Demonstrated hands-on experience in designing, building, and implementing Microsoft solutions based around Azure IaaS and PaaS, iPaaS, FaaS.
Experience in App Migration/ Modernizations / Lift and Shift
Experience with Azure Integration (Logic Apps, API Management, etc.) or Microservices
Ability to provide solutions and IaC using CI/CD processes via Azure DevOps or GitHub automation
Desirable:
MS Certifications
Exposure to industry and IT methodologies & frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, and agile
Blog and open-source contributions
