Job Description : JPMorgan Chase is seeking a creative, analytical and strategic communications professional to help build a high impact media relations program for Global Technology at the firm. We are looking for a motivated, nimble communications professional with experience in public relations or news to work with our senior communications team across India, U.S. and abroad.
Digital media has dramatically changed the way people consume news. Our team helps to share our stories with the broader public across digital, print, social and broadcast media channels, as well as with our 250,000+ employees across the globe.
Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, creative thinking and storytelling, strong work ethic and a positive attitude are key attributes for this role. You’ll be working with teammates in multiple time zones and across JPMorgan Chase’s different businesses and corporate functions, so a positive, collaborative spirit is a must. Prior experience with technology media is a plus.
Position Description:

Support the development and execution of a multi-faceted communications strategy for Global Technology, including but not limited to:
media plans for our leadership and key spokespeople
develop and maintain media lists and relationships with relevant national, trade and local media, understanding their reach and audience and determining how to best engage opportunistically throughout the year to secure positive coverage opportunities
internal communications channels such as newsletter writing and distribution and internal video production
support holistic public relations campaigns across traditional, social and digital media.
Support the development of talking points and key messages our spokespeople.
Conduct research on media coverage or financial services and technology industry trends to support communications goals.
Support the development of content on an as-needed basis, e.g. media pitches, press releases, articles, etc.
Create visual presentations for use with the firm’s most senior executives
Identify opportunities to use the firm’s award-winning economics, technology and financial market research with media; brainstorm new topics and themes to create new thought leadership content around.
Collaborate on and support ongoing activities and program management, including:
News clips monitoring and distribution
Briefing documents
Press releases
Presentations
Awards and rankings tracker
Measurement/reporting
Meeting agendas and recaps

Qualifications:

5-7 years of news or media relations experience;
Ability to identify, tell and share great stories
Excellent writing skills
Strong understanding of the media landscape and existing relationships with national, trade and local media are preferred
Strong executive presence and ability to advise and work with senior management
Fluency across social media and other communications channels, with a proven ability to tap them to protect reputation and promote the brand
Excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive issues, particularly pertaining to media
Ability to partner across a large, matrixed organization, with an understanding of how to lead by influence not control
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives
Comfortable working in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability and eagerness to take a creative approach to problem solving
Experience using PowerPoint, Photoshop, and similar communications software preferred
References and portfolio of work samples helpful
