Job Description : Torbay Pharmaceuticals (TP) – Built by the NHS, Supplying the WorldWe are looking for someone to provide high quality financial information, analysis and insight, to support the delivery of significant revenue growth in our 5 year plan. This a relatively new role for Torbay Pharmaceuticals and is key to helping us through a period of significant revenue growth from contract manufacturing activities. As part of our Finance Team, the Senior Management Accountant/Cost Accountant will also be responsible for monitoring and tracking of costs throughout the product lifecycle as well as identifying and implementing changes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of product costing within the business.Main duties of the jobThe Senior Management Accountant/Cost Accountant is responsible for providing high quality financial information, support and advice, through maintenance and improvement of existing product costing information and analysis and insight of customer and product margins, thereby assisting Torbay Pharmaceuticals to achieve their financial objectives.The most rewarding part of this role is you will be providing information, analysis and insight to assist Torbay Pharmaceuticals achieve their financial objectives and Identifying and implementing changes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of product costings to deliver the strategyWorking for our organisationTorbay Pharmaceuticals (TP) – Built by the NHS, Supplying the WorldTP is a flagship business within the National Health Service and manufactures and distributes terminally sterilised injectables for the secondary care market in the UK and worldwide. Our specialist portfolio includes licensed and unlicensed terminally sterilised injectibles, high-quality electrolyte solutions for TPN compounding, and a range of non-sterile oral solutions.We are based in Paignton in a purpose built, state of the art manufacturing facility that opened in 2017. We also have a number of remotely based roles and a modern, collaborative space for those ‘touchdown’ moments when you need to plug back in at the main site.Main duties of the jobDelivery of accurate and timely product costs to agreed deadlinesGeneration and analysis of product costing information providing visibility of actual product costs and customer profitabilityMonitoring and tracking of invoicing of costs, time spent on projects, throughout the project lifecycle, to ensure that costs are accurately invoiced and in a timely mannerImprovements to costing information and supporting processesPerson specificationQualificationsEssential criteriaProfessional Accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)Desirable criteriaFully Qualified (CCAB) Professional AccountantEducated to Masters level or equivalentExperienceEssential criteriaExperience of working in a commercial environmentPrevious management accounting and financial analysis experienceDesirable criteriaExperience of working in a manufacturing businessExperience of working with an ERP/MRP software systemSkillsEssential criteriaProduct costing methods and techniques; materials, labour and overheadsAble to identify the relationship between complex, interdependent factorsAbility to manipulate and assess information rapidly, identifying key points and drawing conclusions.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and keyboard skills to allow by using formulae, query reports to create statistical reports for presentation/information to others.KnowledgeEssential criteriaIn depth specialist knowledge of costing methodsDesirable criteriaKnowledge of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry in the UKKnowledge of global pharmaceutical marketsJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £40,057.00-£45,839.00 per yearBenefits:Additional leaveCasual dressFlexible scheduleStore discountsWellness programmesWork from homeSchedule:Monday to Friday
