IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. seeks an Salesforce and CPQ Application Developer to work remotely anywhere in the US!
In this Role…
You will be on the CRM/Salesforce Team and be a contributor to IDEXX’s core CRM application for mobile, web, and client-server platforms as well as provide in-house development for our CPQ solution
You will help manage data for, and support, our in-house CRM solutions
As a member of a this Salesforce development team, you will design, code, test, debug and document
You will coordinate with project team members to gather and define functional and technical application requirements, identifies business needs, assesses available technologies, design, develop, test, demo, and document solutions.
Perform Salesforce and CPQ build and release management to support multiple streams of development.
Following best practices including integration and application development (balancing configuration with customization), deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement
Coordination to support multiple streams of CPQ development.
Follow best practices including integration and application development (balancing configuration with customization), deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement
Help design and implement data migration strategies
Help integrate CPQ Solution with existing systems and third-party providers
Seek out ways to utilize CPQ Solution to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace
Participates in defect triaging and provides assistance with defect resolutions and provides on-call support
Provide off hours support on occasion
What you will need to Succeed…
3+ years of development experience, some of which is in CPQ and Salesforce
Some experience with Oracle CPQ administration and development (BML, security, data management, multiple environments)
Some experience with Oracle CPQ deployments
Some exposure to/experience with Agile/Scrum development practices.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written – including ability to translate technical subject matter to non-technical audiences (both as a speaker and listener), as well as developer to developer/QE communication.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Ability to leverage technology background and understanding of latest technologies to apply to development work.
Familiarity with applications development process.
Familiarity with software development methodologies as required by development team.
Excellent problem solving skills required, the ability to self-learn and search for possible solutions if one is not readily apparent.
Excellent customer service and business relationship-building skills required.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Here are some additional skills and experience that would be great to have….
BML and JetUI development
Knowledge in SQL, JavaScript, XML, Java or C++, SOAP/REST based web services, CSS/HTML
Understanding of UX design principles and best practices
Understanding and some hands-on experience with Apex, APIs, Visualforce, Lightning/Aura Components, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, Lightning Design System, Web services, Platform Events, SOQL/SOSL, Process Builders, Flows, and writing proper test classes.
Some experience using development/integration/deployment-related and associated tools (Data Loader, Workbench, Force.com, ANT, IDE/VSCode, Git, Jenkins, SFDX)
Knowledge of Salesforce administration and development (security, data management, sandbox environments)
Salesforce Certified Administrator or equivalent experience
Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder or equivalent experience
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or equivalent experience
Mobile solution development
Knowledge in SQL, JavaScript, XML, Java or C++, SOAP/REST based web services, Heroku
Experience with SFDC development and release lifecycles using source control and release automation tools
Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Salesforce CPQ
Oracle CPQ knowledge and/or experience
Understanding of UI design principles and best practices
