Introduction:

As a Data Analyst, you will pioneer/support delivery of innovative use cases, bringing together the Data Product and Data Science, both newly created and on an exciting development journey within IIT.

The role will support use cases across the business areas and will be responsible for managing and building out key Data Products, taking accountability for existing products as well as designing and implementing both the tactical and longer term strategic end to end (E2E) product lifecycle roadmaps.

As a data analyst, you will gain understanding of data across functional areas, provide SME support to technology and delivery teams. You will also act as an interface between business and technology by understanding business requirements, converting it into functional/technology specs.
You will also support/train other members of the wider DPS team to improve understanding of data in order to deliver right technical and functional solution effectively and efficiently.

The role would be responsible for understanding the E2E Business requirement and converting those into Data Mapping documents.
The individual would need to gain a good data understanding of all the source systems so as to support any downstream Use-Case/MI/Reporting requirements.
Individual would also need to have a good understand of all the customer journeys.
What will you be doing?
Understand Business requirements and translate those into Data mapping requirement documents.
Data Profiling of newly on-boarded source systems
Data Reconciliation between source and target
Grow data capabilities

Gain complete understanding of data to support business usecases
Generate insights from data (without the need for business providing specific requirements). Present insights to management, stakeholders. Insights can be of following nature – improved customer experience, cost reduction, improved revenue, improved colleague experience and so on,
Support the build out of data driven strategy for sales, cost reduction and servicing of our customers
What we’re looking for:
Proven knowledge of SQL and Data Profiling tools. Ability to write highlight optimized SQL queries is a MUST HAVE requirement
Proficiency/good understanding in at least one of the following: Teradata, MSSQL Hadoop, Redshift
Strong knowledge of data analytics & data commercialisation
Proven ability to undertake problem solving for data errors & data reconciliations

Education
Graduate with preferred specialisation in IT, Mathematics with relevant work experience or satisfying the relevant skills (above).

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Be hands-on with data analysis and deep-dive data mining.
Strong knowledge of SQL and Data Profiling tools.
Proficiency/good understanding in at least one of the following: Teradata, MSSQL Hadoop
Ability to work in high pressure, milestone driven project plan.
Passion to learn new skills. This project will migrate the data commercialisation product to AWS and hence on the job learning needed for AWS in addition to ongoing data tasks

Skills that will help you in the role:
Graduate with preferred specialisation in IT, Mathematics
Exposure to Banking and Finance domains, as well as technology within banking/finance.
Awareness of management information tools and systems.
Governance and compliance policies, standards, and procedures required to fulfil role e.g. data security, records management.
Able to solve problems with data and to understand relevance to the wider objective.
