Six Degrees Executive has partnered with Australia’s leading not-for-profit sports fundraiser as they build the foundation for growth and significantly re-engineer their digital platforms across the business.
Reporting directly to the Chief Digital & IT Officer, this newly formed role will allow you to set things up right from the get-go and really make your mark.
Not only will you document current and future system requirements, but this role will also provide you with the chance to uncover and improve business processes that lead to real system changes and improvements.
Note that we are open to candidates from Melbourne, Canberra or Sydney and that it offers hybrid ways of working.
The company
Our client is Australia’s leading non-profit sports fundraising organisation and charity and the only organisation to which donations for sport are tax-deductible.
They have have raised $185,000,000 over the last four years, more than double the preceding period. Their primary offering is a SaaS, peer-to-peer fundraising platform and outbound sports fundraising team, which through partnerships, enables sports clubs, athletes and communities to raise funds via tax deductible donations.
They intend to expand their suite of digital products and through their advocacy for sport, will run grant programs and distributing raised funds from corporate and philanthropic sources to help more Australians engage with sport.
Their Vision is an Australia where everyone can play and their Mission is that everyone in Australia, regardless of background, ability, or culture, has access to the health and social benefits of sport.
The opportunity
The role will see you work on (but not limited to) the following:
Establish and embed a BA function within the organisation
Capture, develop and document current business processes and future state requirements
Liaise across the organisation to identify and document business requirements for systems implementations and changes
Work with external vendors to communicate requirements and act as the business proxy to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the business’s needs
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing for systems changes
Plan and assist with the delivery of change management activities such as scheduling upcoming systems changes and manage changes to stakeholders
When needed, plan, produce and deliver training materials and user reference documentation
Undertaking ad hoc tasks and special assignments as highlighted below:
Develop user and system requirements for future fundraising offerings which will include API, web portal and mobile app development *
Work with the finance team to help capture requirements for future state accounting systems and processes
Assist in the development of future solutions which will include solving our data orchestration challenges across the entire software stack

About you
To be considered for this role, you will need (but not limited to) the following:
The ability to work closely with key stakeholders to understand their core problems and objectives, contribute to robust product roadmaps and define requirements and releases for their digital products and services
Confidently run and facilitate requirement gathering workshops with various business stakeholders
Ability to understand and define business scenarios and design detailed processes through user journey mapping across different channels and touchpoints
Able to create functional specifications which will be used for scoping and build work
Experience in unpacking and writing business rules and logic for functional components of a solution
A love for working with digital products and services and an understanding of the current digital landscape
A keen interest in digital innovation and an appreciation for customer insights and industry trends
A desire to work for a friendly community focused organisation that is has a positive impact on the funding of community sports
