Job Title – Director – Data Architect
The Purpose of This role
At Fidelity, we use data and analytics to optimize customer experiences and develop solutions that help our customers achieve their financial goals. To support that mission, we are in the process of building next generation Enterprise Data Analytics Platform. This is a multiyear initiative supporting cross business unit needs. We are looking for accomplished Analytics Architect, to define architecture, solutions, and design patterns for the next generation Cloud-based data analytics platform. This architecture solution should include core capabilities like ingestion/preparation, physical storage & compute, consumption, operational stability, data marketplace. In this role, you will understand the business needs, and constraints in the current on-premises analytics environment, and work with Business Units to specify the common scalable, resilient, Cloud-based architecture, best practices, and guidelines for data analytics ecosystem. You will collaborate with Business Units and provide guidance in implementing the Cloud data analytics environment that meets their needs.
The Value You Deliver
Provide thought leadership for data analytics architecture in the journey to the cloud.
Identify multiple options of building data analytics solutions in the public or hybrid cloud. Compare them against a set of criteria (such as resiliency, performance and cost) and provide clear recommendations.
Develop Reference Architecture and roadmaps to build highly available, scalable, resilient and performant data analytics platforms to process high volume, high velocity and wide variety of structured and unstructured data.
Work with Business Units in adopting the Enterprise cloud data analytics architecture and strategy.
Collaborate with key partners to prototype and recommend proper Cloud data solutions in adopting emerging technologies.
Provide technical expertise as requested by Business Units and members of the Analytics Platform Architecture CoE.

Technical / Behavioral
A Good understanding of the Financial services Domain focusing on Wealth management and, brokerage and Mutual fund industry
Leadership skills to architect and design data analytics capabilities on-premises and in the cloud.
Ability to collaborate and partner with business domain leads, data scientists, product owners, Enterprise architects and other functional leads to deliver world class data solutions.
Expertise in Cloud data services ecosystem such as OLTP, ODS, streaming products, Data Lake, advanced analytics technologies, BI reporting and analytics.
Strong skills to inspire confidence, create executive presentations and guide strategic discussions with senior management.
Ability to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements.
Willingness to partner effectively with technology business partners across the firm.
Expert ability to evaluate, prototype and recommend emerging Cloud data technologies and platforms from open source or vendors.
10+ years of data solution architecture, design and development delivery experience. 3+ years of Cloud data analytics architecture and solutions.
Demonstrated technology and personal leadership experience in architecting, designing and successfully building highly scalable data analytics solutions.
The Skills that are Good To Have for this role
Expert knowledge and experience in Cloud data services such as Snowflake, AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, Azure SQL, and Azure Cosmos DB.
Expert knowledge and experience in Cloud storage services such as AWS S3 and Azure Storage Services.
Expert knowledge and experience in Cloud compute services such as AWS EC2, AWS EMR, and Azure Virtual Machines.
Proven experience in relational (Oracle and PostgreSQL are desirable), NoSQL, and data warehouse technologies and in-memory databases.
Proven Experience in analytics tool like Tableau, Power BI, SageMaker, ModelOps, Python
Enterprise scale expertise in data management best practices such as data integration, data security, data warehousing, data analytics, metadata management and data quality.
Extensive knowledge and experience in architecting modern data integration frameworks, highly scalable distributed systems using open source and emerging data architecture designs and patterns.
Expert ability to analyze cost and performance in a data solution or pattern and recommend improvement for optimization.
Relevant certification in public cloud services (e.g., Snowflake Certification, AWS Certified Database – Specialty and AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty) is highly desirable.
Solid experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).

The Expertise we’re looking for
16+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Big data, Analytics and Machine Learning
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required.
Location: Bangalore
Shift timings: 11:00 am – 8:00pm
