Overview:

The Software or System Engineer will be based out of Deutsche Bank’s Technology Development center in Cary, NC. The candidate is responsible for supporting Corporate Bank Technology (IT) initiatives in bolstering the Payment Platform used by Deutsche Bank’s global clientele. The candidate will belong to a consortium of engineers within Cash Management Channel building a Next Generation payment initiation platform. The role will engage with a team of developers, testers and business analysts whose primary focus is to deliver sustainable outcomes for the Bank through relentless pursuit of automation opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Be part of the Payments Team building a new Account Management and Payment Initiation platform with in the Corporate Bank
Be a part of the DevOps team to support software delivery to production.
Individual will partner with UI/UX Design Team, Architects, Business Analysts and Stakeholders situated in multiple regions and time-zones; at varying capacity to understand requirements
Act as the validation point of contact regarding application challenges, potential gaps, and feedback from pod members and the application stakeholders
Manage the SDLC of software components all the way to production including helping support the application to resolve production issues with appropriate triaging
Develop and maintain multiple documents such as runbooks, processes, frameworks, etc.
Continuously monitor and remidate vulnerabilities associated with technology and security by supporting risk assessments performed by Deutsche Bank
Your Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in JAVA Development (preferably JAVA 8 or higher)
Sound understanding of data structures, algorithms, Microservices using Spring Boot framework and SOLID design principles
Experience designing and evolving RESTful API’s
Experience in Site Reliability Engineering and ability to perform 3rd level support as the developed components move to production
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and writing automated tests
A minimum of 4 years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GIT, Maven, Ansible, Puppet
A minimum of 3 year hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity
Demonstrated experience in Blue-Green deployment
A minimum of 3 year hands-on experience with Application performance Management Software such as AppDynamics and/or Splunk is a plus
A minimum of 3 year hands-on scripting experience in Bash (Shell) or Python
A minimum of 3 year hands-on experience with Oracle 12c or higher
A minimum of 2 year hands-on experience developing solutions that use Hadoop (Spark, HBASE, Impala)
Experience with Database deployment automation through open source libraries such as Liquibase
Application development experience using Agile Methodology
Sound understanding of the full SDLC chain
Hands-on experience developing solutions on Linux Rhel7.x or higher OS
Experience with Kafka message/event stream-processing is a plus
Experience with enterprise search platforms set-up such as Elastic and/or Solr+ in a cloud based cluster hosted on/off-premises is a plus
