Due to rapid business growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a vibrant events company. Peppermint provide high-performance bar and event solutions to the world’s best entertainment businesses and consumer brands. Our core business is operating festival & event bars, brand activation and conjoined retail-led F&B solutions to the UK’s best festivals and outdoor events such as British Summer Time, Camp Bestival, All Points East and many more.
The recent partnership with Levy (Compass UK) has lead our established business into new sectors within sports and stadium arena across the UK and Ireland at world class venues such as the 02 Arena, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Cheltenham Racecourse, Aviva Stadium and Wimbledon.
We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized and driven individual to take accountability of defined events, working collaboratively with the project teams to manage project spend and working closely with the Finance Director to provide accurate and timely data. As part of a small team you will gain exposure to all areas of finance and more, playing a pivotal role in the department.
FINANCE
Month end closedown
Fixed asset register management
Creation of monthly board pack for directors
Assist in preparing the company annual budget and reforecasts / rolling forecast
Preparation of rolling cashflow forecast
Balance Sheet reconciliation and review
Assist with statutory accounts and year end audit
File company quarterly VAT Returns
Oversee weekly payment runs
Assist the Finance Director in any other ad hoc projects

EVENTS
Producing pre-event budgets/projections for the Directors
Reconcile card and cash takings to accurately report and recognise revenue
Challenging overspends and owning the event budget from a Finance perspective
Ensuring PO’s have been raised and approved for all committed costs
Liaising with project managers and stock controllers to ensure correct and timely client reporting
Working with PM’s to reconcile project against budget and report on variances

ESSENTIAL:
Project accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills (vlookup, sumifs, pivot tables etc)
Strong analytical skills, with expertise in budgeting and variance analysis
Able to work with large volumes of data and complex spreadsheets
Confident and able to challenge senior managers on event budgets and expenditure
Organised, methodical with excellent attention to detail
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Able to multi-task and cope with pressures of conflicting work priorities
Experience and managing projects to tight deadlines
CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified

PREFERRED:
Paprika accounting system
Indepth experience in the events/festival industry
