We are pleased to be working with a highly regarded employer in the Leicester area who are looking for a Financial Controller to join their finance team. Following a recent organisational restructure, they are currently searching for an experienced Financial Controller who can utilise their experience to implement and manage a ‘best in class’ function.
The client is a multi-billion manufacturing group with a global footprint. This is effectively a global role however the majority of your focus will be more local. The role of Financial Controller is a critical one and provides crucial support to the Finance Director in determining the success of the finance function as a whole.
Remit of the Role:-
Manage a small team of accountants (qualified and part qualified)
Implement and establish a robust and appropriate internal control environment
Review and management of Balance Sheet
Deliver an effective risk management process
Ensure the site complies with Tax & Treasury requirements, including having appropriate hedging in place for foreign currency exposures and liaison around tax obligations
Own and lead the Internal and External Audit reviews and compliance
What do you need to be considered?
Educated to Degree level ideally in a Finance / Business related subject
Recognised Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Significant Experience gained within a similar role (ideally including IFRS, SAP knowledge gained within the manufacturing sector)
Team Management Experience
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to Evidence Implementing Process Improvement Initiatives
