Job Description : EQUANS are recruiting for a Fire and Life Safety Operations Manager to be based in between RAF Mildenhall/Lakenheath and Feltwell. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Operations Manager will have overall responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all Fire & Life Safety Contract and Additional works carried out for our Core, Fire and Life Safety and Military Family Housing contract. The individual will be responsible for Fire contract staff team and Contractors and oversee their delivery of individual and Contracted works.
What will you deliver?
Ensure all duties carried out by the Fire contract staff and contractors are completed in accordance with health and Safety requirements ensuring completion of all H&S documentation and where required CDM required paperwork.
Have an exceptional knowledge of all Fire and Life safety works being carried out on site so cover can be provided in the event of annual leave or unplanned absence.
Ensure both EQUANS and the Contractors processes and procedures are fit for purpose and provide value. Review regularly all processes and procedures with Contractors.
Enforce the EQUANS 9 lifesaving rules which is incorporated in No Life at Risk.
Complete 4 x Management Safety Visits per month and record on EQUANS internal system (AIMS).
Carry out internal Fire & Life Safety Contract and Additional works audits on live and completed works folders (on SharePoint) to ensure documentation is always ready and available and record any findings.
Lead and manage internal governance calls for the Fire & Life Safety Contract and Additional works with both internal and client teams.
Attend /support Operational Meetings as and when required. Attend Senior management site meetings when required.
Proactively develop and gain funding for pipeline of Fire & Life Safety Additional works across the three contract streams with the intention to meet financial objectives set for the current year.
Responsible for the review of the financial WIP for Fire & Life Safety Contract and Additional works
Responsible for financial reporting and forecasting for Fire & Life Safety Contract and Additional works.
Collate data and figures for the Fire & Life Safety Contract and Additional works monthly report
Provide cover or support for other areas within the contract, as and when required.
Manage Fire & Life Safety Contract and Additional works personal development using targets and One HR identifying specific training needs.

Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
Certificate in Fire Operations, Fire Safety and Management
IOSH / NEBOSH or other
UK and or US Safety standards
CDM 2015 and or have knowledge of Construction site Mythology
Project Management or Coordination
Understanding of the roles of AE and or AP
Knowledge of JSP 375 Skilled Persons Requirements
Establish and maintain good customer/client relations to ensure effective delivery and quality of work.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and fluidly.
Excellent IT skills with Microsoft applications and any other in-house system required to carry out the role (SAP/AIMS/MAXIMO).
Demonstrate good time management skills and working to deadlines.
People Management experience
Full UK Driving Licence
Must be able to clear Government security clearance including counter terrorist check
