Job Description : About the role: We are looking for a Freelancer – Senior Front End Engineer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.Primary Responsibilities: Develop new user-facing featuresBuild reusable code and libraries for future useEnsure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designsOptimize application for maximum speed and scalabilityAssure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-endCollaborate with other team members and clientsQualification & Skills: Experience: 4 to 7 yearsBachelors degree or higher in Computer Science (or related field)Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASSProficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQueryExperience with one or more frameworks such as Bootstrap, AngularJS, Meteor and libraries such as jQuery, ExtJS, YUI, Prototype, Dojo, SenchaProficient understanding and knowledge of any 1 of these advanced JavaScript frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etcGood understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAXBasic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an imageFamiliarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plusProficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around themKnowledge of one or more of the following is a plus Server side Python, node.jsKnowledge of Automated testing frameworks, and Git, Mercurial, is a mustComfortable working in a fast paced, Agile, release often environmentAbout Heady: We offer a multitude of services – strategy, user experience design (UX), user Interface design (UI), software engineering, testing, marketing, analytics and maintenance – all of which come together to form a successful product.We use a hybrid model: Our engineers are based in India, while our UX, UI, strategy, and lead management are in the US.
