The Role Responsibilities
Strategy
Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.

Business
Responsible for delivering Communications Surveillance IT related business use cases

Processes
Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
Responsible for following agile project delivery and release management related processes.

People and Talent
Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members
Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team

Risk Management
Responsible for managing application related security or infrastructure related technology obsolescence risks

Governance
Adhere strictly to the bank’s processes and audit controls around application development and release management.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
Lead the [Communications surveillance Java application development team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Serve as a Director of the Board of [insert name of entities]
Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association (or equivalent)

Supporting Elastic infrastructure, Unix Shell scripting, monitoring, deployments, ASRM, Disaster recovery, Engineering skills, Database skills, Java skills beneficial, Familiar with Ansible, DevOps beneficial
