Job Description : Reporting to the Accounts Payable Senior Manager an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the leadership team of GBS Finance. The GBS Finance team comprises of c.150 colleagues which have responsibility for a breadth of financial services to the ASDA business, including Accounts Payable, Record to Report, Management reporting, pricing and income administration, and working capital management. As a GBS function, we constantly look for ways to improve our processes, systems, expand our services and develop our colleagues to achieve their full potential.

This role would be suited to a qualified accountant or individual with previous experience of working within a financial control framework and is interested in a wide-reaching and varied role.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for leading large transactional teams, with up to 3 Team Leaders as direct reports and managing various internal stakeholders within ASDA at all levels.

As we migrate away from Wal-Mart and their systems, you will be integral in the delivery of the change program and therefore the role requires an individual who is confident in change and stakeholder management, is good at anticipating and cutting-through issues, can be decisive in decision-making and is resilient.

As well as supporting the integration of the new systems you will have day to day responsibilities of ensuring delivery of key metrics, ensuring we are compliant to our various financial and compliance controls and responsible for developing a strong quality and innovative environment.

Qualified: ACA/CIMA/ACCA (not essential)
