THE POSITION

Our Electronics lighting business unit is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Customer Project Engineer to join our team.

As the Customer Project Engineer you will occupy one of the most critical roles in a successful project with our Customer.
The Customer Project Engineer will be on-site at the customer location (GM Warren, MI), and will be the primary point of contact for the Project manager and technical team for the project.
Responsible for collaborating with project teams and highlighting our Continental core values.

Supporting GM Customer DRE and Continental Program Manager
Generate GM ECR’s
Support Bench updates with latest production intent components Technical trouble shooting through initial analysis and data acquisition of anomalies or performance gaps.
Participate in Product Development Team meetings and design reviews
Night drives at customer proving grounds

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Electrical Engineering or Equivalent discipline
High Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
Minimum 2 years of automotive experience in engineering or customer project teams
Familiarity with electronic modules
Fluency in English¬ Strong written and verbal communication skills
Customer management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience with OEM Customer Requirements (GM)
Intercultural experience or experience with international project teams
Minimum 3 year of experience in a technical customer interface position (resident engineering or key contact person in functional engineering area)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with GM product development lifecycle and release process
Experience in electronic modules for automotive applications
