Job Description : Band 8b, 37.5 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team and are looking for a 2 year fixed term Head of Income and Costing following an internal transfer. You will take a lead role supporting the Deputy Director of Finance and the Senior Finance Team in the delivery of critical income and costing workstreams.

The successful postholder will proactively lead the Trust’s contract and income planning, including contract negotiations. You will proactively lead and enhance Service Line Reporting (SLR) and Patient Level Costing and Information System (PLICS), as well as leading the National Cost Collection and benchmarking activities for the Trust.

In order to be successful in this position you will need to be CCAB qualified accountant or finalist being able to demonstrate substantial income, costing and planning experience at a senior, strategic level.

You will be accountable for the delivery of a range of work streams and be required to provide well developed, expert analytical advice, utilising critical influencing skills.

In addition, you will possess advanced financial analysis & modelling skills including scenario modelling, strong information technology skills and be an excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex financial issues with non-finance colleagues.
