We are looking for a product and technology leader to take Udemy’s mobile experiences in India and Asia to the next level of success. This leader is someone who is passionate about the future of learning on mobile devices and adept at mobile technologies, tools and development practices.
This leader should have experience working in an agile organization and leveraging customer journeys to drive experiences. This leader should be a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a proven history of leading cross-functional teams. They must also be outcome driven, with a track record of success.
Responsibilities:
Develop the product vision and growth strategy for driving the next generation of Udemy’s mobile teaching and learning solutions/offerings (iOS & Android apps, small screen devices, mobile web) in emerging markets like India and Asia in partnership with business, product management, design and engineering teams
Lead a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers to develop the mobile roadmap and deliver on commitments
Build a strong mobile team in India with product managers, Android and iOS engineers based on the product strategy and collaborate effectively with the US based teamsIncrease the conversion rate, GMV for mobile experiences and build new GTM strategies for all emerging markets
Evangelize mobile vision and roadmap with stakeholders across the company
Collaborate effectively with Apple India, Google India and other local strategic partners to leverage new technology developments and business opportunities
Build an effective native mobile engineering team with a focus on mentoring talented people, building trust and empowering staff
Foster and cultivate region specific best practices in native mobile app development and testing
Desired Experience:
10+ years of industry experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
5+ years mobile app development experience
Worked in a remote setting with a geographically dispersed organization
Developed products and product strategy for consumer-facing and consumer-grade applications, with a global audience
Led cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
Track record of working across organizations, influencing others, and generating alignment. Previous experience as a change agent, raising the profile and importance of native mobile across an organization
Ability to energize and motivate others. Highly inclusive and collaborative with proven ability to lead through influence
A data-driven mindset. Uses data and metrics to back up assumptions, gain consumer insights, make recommendations, drive actions, and measure results
Experience driving and leveraging user research to build new product growth strategies and roadmaps
A sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for outcomes
Excellent Communication Skills
